David Copperfield is an excellent story with an excellent ending. It's full of twists and turns. I'm reading all the Dickens now. I almost feel it's required reading for people in this day and age. His books remind us why we have a social safety net. Dickens liked to focus on orphans in particular and the hard lives they lived. Copperfield came out of this one smelling like a rose. I like David ‘s aunt who is kind and generous
Read this book 30years ago and enjoyed it more now after more of life·s experiences. DICKENS works are not a fast read and do have challenges. Well worth the effort.

It's Dickens and that means a great book. We're once again with the guy who comes from nothing following a clear philosophy, even when he starts doubting his actions. And the annotation is good.
I found myself quite sad as I neared the end of this book. I will miss these wonderful characters, and regret that I have finished the story. Wonderful book, and I believe it to be Dickens' best work.
One of Dickens best works
I haven't completed reading the book yet but I can beyond a shadow of a doubt give it a five stars. I enjoy using the to do most of my reading. Once I knew who the characters were and the part they played in the book I wondered why I had not read this in high school or college. Making up for lost time. Would recommend the book for those looking for a good book to read.
Every night I treat myself to some time with my David Copperfield audio book. I am enthralled. The reader is excellent and deftly handles the characterizations that make listening a joy.
